Customer one

Basic Information: raw materials: 90% of mill scale + steel slag magnetic separation powder 10%, of which iron oxide pH = 7, steel slag magnetic separation powder pH = 14, the finished briquettes will be used in the converter steel instead of scrap as a coolant.

Requirement: 1.The customer does not have drying equipment, they need air-dried binder,the site space is insufficient;

1. the customer requires low dosage should be the lower,the better,the binder can not contain calcium, magnesium components.
2. the pressed green balls after drying in air for a few days must meet the requirement of converter steel making.

Solution: Combined with the cost of customers, raw materials, and site requirements, our R&D department developed a binder for the mill scale, steel slag magnetic separation powder,this type of binder have the characteristics of high bonding force and fast curing effect.

Result:after 3 days’ drying in air, the strength can meet the requirements of converter steel making. The impact resistance, compression resistance, wear resistance and other strengths are higher than other binder, the dosage is lower than other binder.

Basic Information: raw materials: cyclone ash 28% + ablative bottom ash 68% + coke powder 12%, pH = 14, free calcium oxide 1%, finished briquettes will be used in the RHF(rotary hearth furnace) dezincification refining metallization pellets.

Requirement: 1.after roasted under 1250 ℃ for 25 ~ 30min after the RDI(reduction degradation index) should be less than 20%;

2.the cost of binder should be low.

Solution: Combined with the customer's raw materials, roasting requirements, from the point of view of increasing the effect of CaO-resistance, and the effect of RDI, developed a special binder.

Result: The pellets do not disintegrate during placement,the RDI after roasting is reduced by 10%, and the cost is lower than other binder.

Customer three

Basic Information: raw materials: sludge 55% + mill scale 45% + lime 5%, pH = 14, the finished ball for converter steel making instead of scrap as a cooling agent, sludge collect by OG method,the mill scale is from the rolling system, the lime (the main ingredient is quicklime) to neutralize the moisture in the sludge, previously used other binders, because of the lime,the briquettes will disintegrate, the briquettes strength can not meet the requirements. Customers do not have drying equipment.

Requirement: customers require briquettes strength should be 1200N or more, the dosage of binder should not exceed 4%.

Solution: Combined with the customer's raw materials, existing conditions, from the point of view of increasing the quick-drying effect and increasing the CaO resistance effect, we developed a special air-dried binder.

Result: After 3 days of drying under room temperature, the strength of dry briquettes meet the customer's requirements and is better than other binder, and the anti-calcium effect is good, and the pellets do not disintegrate.

Basic Information: raw materials: iron powder, iron grade is around 60 , pH = 7, finished pellets will be used in the small blast furnace to produce sponge iron.there are two types of materials:red material (moisture 16%), black material (moisture 8%),the red material moisture is larger, need to be used with the black, particle size is relatively small, the customer has tried other binders, the pellet strength can reach 2800N,

Requirement: By using our binder,the pellet strength should reach 2000N or more, and the cost should be lower than others

Solution: Combine the customer's raw material, strength and cost requirements, determine the appropriate material ratio, developed the binder to increase the strength of the pellet, and reduce the cost of the customer.

Result: Strength meets customer's requirement, cost is lower than other binder.

Basic Information: raw materials: mill scale, pH = 7, the briquettes will be used in  the electric furnace instead of scrap to make steel, the customer does not have drying equipment, previously,they tested other binder, the cost and rate of pulverization is high

Requirmentthe customer requires a high forming rate of the briquettes, the strength of the briquettes should be hign,and the cost of binder can be reduced.

Solution: Combined with the customer's raw materials, equipment conditions, strength requirement, and cost requirements, from the perspective of increasing the  bonding force and rapid curing effect, developed a special air-dried binder.

Results: the forming rate of briquettes is high, and pulverization rate is low, after 3 days’ drying under room temperature, the dry briquettes’ strength can meet customer requirements.

Customer six

Basic Information: raw materials: washed phosphorous powder, containing 23% phosphorus,briquettes will be used in the mineral heat furnace to make phosphorus, the customer does not have drying equipment.Previously, they tested of other binder, the cost is high and the pellet's medium-temperature strength is low.

Requirement:Customers require the briquettes used in the furnace should have high strength under 500 ℃ and 800 ℃,there can not be no pulverization, and the cost should be reduced.

Solution: Combining the customer's raw material situation, the existing conditions of the plant, and the strength and cost requirements, from the point of view of increasing the bonding force and resistance to medium and high temperatures, we developed a special air-dried binder.

Result: The strength of green briquettes meet the customer's requirements after 3 days of drying under air, and the pulverization rate is reduced in the medium temperature strength interval after the pellets are used in the furnace.
